Free extension · you pay only for numbers you buy · refund if no SMS arrives · How to use it

The Fill number button has put a UK number into the phone field of a sign-up form

Sample account and prices shown.

How it works

Four steps, without leaving the sign-up page.

01

Sign in once

The popup shows a short code; approve it on numberotp.com. No password is typed into the extension.
02

Pick a number

The popup suggests a service for the site you are on. Choose a country and see the price and stock before you buy.
03

Fill number

One click puts the number into the phone field, with the right country code for the page.
04

Fill code

You get a notification when the SMS lands. Fill code types it in, or it fills by itself on sites you allow.

Built to stay out of your way

Works on phone-or-email fields

Finds the phone box even when the site uses one field for both, and handles split one-digit code boxes.

Right country code

Sites with their own country picker get the full number so they can switch, or the local part when the picker already matches.

Code alerts

A notification the moment the SMS lands, with the code. Push where the browser supports it, polling as a fallback.

Side panel

Keep the same interface open in Chrome’s side panel or Firefox’s sidebar while you work through a sign-up.

Refund if no SMS

Cancel & refund from the popup puts the price back on your balance when no code arrives.

Private by design

No website access by default, no content scripts, no analytics. It types into fields and never reads the page.

8 languages

English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Russian, Hindi and Arabic, following your browser or your choice.

Your whole account

Balance, open numbers with a countdown, Another SMS, Done and Top up — the same account as the website, app and API.

Questions

Is the extension free?▾
Yes. The extension itself is free. You pay only for the numbers you buy, from your NumberOTP balance, at the same prices as on the website. If no SMS arrives, cancel the number and the price goes back to your balance automatically.
Which browsers does it work in?▾
Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Brave, Opera and other Chromium browsers from version 121, and Firefox from version 128.
Can the extension read the pages I visit?▾
No. It has no access to any website by default. When you click Fill number it can type into that one tab, and for automatic code fill it asks for that one site. It only types into fields: it never reads page content back, never submits forms and skips password fields. There are no content scripts, no analytics and no remote code.
Why did the number go in with the wrong country code?▾
When a site has its own country picker, the extension puts in the full international number (for example +44…) so the site can switch its picker, and only the local part when the picker already shows the right country. If the site keeps another country, the popup tells you; pick the country on the site and paste the number with Copy.
Do I need to type my password into the extension?▾
No. Sign-in shows a short code that you approve on numberotp.com. Signing out in the extension, or revoking the session from another device, ends it.
Will every site accept the number?▾
Usually, but not always: some platforms block virtual numbers or ask for more checks. That is why the refund applies whenever no SMS arrives. Use it for your own accounts and follow each platform’s terms.
