About NumberOTP

NumberOTP sells virtual phone numbers for one job: receiving the SMS verification code an app sends when you sign up or log in, without handing over your own number. Numbers are real SIM-backed, non-VoIP numbers, which is what strict apps expect, available in 190+ countries for 1,500+ platforms.

How it works

  1. Choose the app and the country you need.
  2. See the exact price before you confirm. You pay per activation, with no subscription and no minimum spend.
  3. Enter the number in the app and read the code in your dashboard or through the API.
  4. If no SMS arrives before the activation expires, the cost is refunded to your balance automatically.

New accounts get $0.10 in free credit to try a first activation. Each order is routed across three independent number pools, so a problem in one does not stop the service. See pricing for current prices and the refund policy for the exact rules, including how card and crypto payments differ.

Who uses it

  • People who want privacy. Keep your personal number off services you do not fully trust. Our guide to real SIM vs VoIP numbers explains why the number type matters.
  • Developers and QA teams. A documented REST API and an OpenAPI specification let you request numbers and read codes in automated tests.
  • Resellers. The reseller program offers a white-label panel and API for businesses that sell verification numbers under their own brand.

What a virtual number cannot do

A virtual number is a tool for app sign-ups, not a replacement identity. Do not use one for banking, payments, tax or government services, which are tied to the SIM registered in your name, and follow the terms of every service you use. Our acceptable use policy sets out what is and is not allowed.
