1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using NumberOTP ("Service", "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Acceptable Use Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the platform. These Terms constitute a binding legal agreement between you and NumberOTP.

2. Description of Service

NumberOTP provides virtual phone numbers that can receive SMS messages. The platform is intended for legitimate purposes including software testing, account onboarding validation, QA workflows, and business verification use cases. Numbers are provisioned on demand and expire after a fixed window.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. Use of the Service by anyone under 18 is strictly prohibited.

4. Account Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately at support@numberotp.com of any unauthorized use. You may not share, transfer, or sell your account to any third party.

5. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the Service for any of the following:

Fraud, identity theft, phishing, or any other deceptive or criminal activity
Bulk account creation for the purpose of spamming, astroturfing, or platform manipulation
Violating the terms of service of any third-party platform
Harassment, threats, or abusive communications of any kind
Unauthorized access to computer systems, networks, or data
Money laundering, financing of illegal activities, or sanctions evasion
Circumventing fraud detection or identity verification systems for illegal purposes
Any activity that violates applicable local, national, or international law

Violations may result in immediate account suspension, termination, forfeiture of balance, and referral to law enforcement where required.

6. Credits and Billing

The Service operates on a prepaid credit model. Credits are non-transferable and have no cash value except as described in our Refund Policy. Balance deductions occur at the time of number provisioning. If an SMS is not received before the number expires, the cost is automatically refunded to your wallet balance.

7. Service Availability and No Guarantees

NumberOTP depends on third-party carrier infrastructure. While we target 99.96% uptime, we do not guarantee the availability of any specific service, country, or number pool at any given time. We are not liable for losses resulting from unavailability or failed deliveries beyond the automatic refund mechanism described above.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, logos, and software on the platform are the property of NumberOTP or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service without prior written consent.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for violation of these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy. Upon termination for cause, any remaining balance may be forfeited. We may also terminate accounts at our discretion for any other reason with reasonable notice and a refund of unused balance.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NumberOTP shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you in any calendar month shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in that month.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited. You waive any right to participate in a class-action lawsuit against NumberOTP.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be communicated by email or by a notice on the platform.
